THE 2018 BMW M5 IS A PERFORMANCE BARGAIN, AS LONG AS YOU LIVE IN AMERICA
If you’re in the market for the all-new 2018 BMW M5, then we have good news for you as the price of entry has been leaked. According to a user on the Bimmerpost forum , the new model will start at just $102,600 (£77,135).
This entry fee puts the new M5 firmly in the firing line of its Germanic rivals, the Mercedes AMG E63 and the Porsche Panamera when it comes to pricing.
The leak comes from a Bimmerpost user who ordered his new M5 with a military discount bringing the base cost down to just $94,100. The order sheet breaks down all the pricing while confirming the standard equipment and optional items on the new model.
As the M5 is the ‘halo’ model, it doesn’t exactly come ill-equipped as standard. Buyers will get adaptive full-LED headlights, a Harmon Kardon sound system, various safety gizmos including lane departure warning and active blind spot detection along with a set of dual colour 19-inch wheels among a host of standard kit.
When the M5 reaches the UK, it will cost us Brits a reasonable £89,640, with prices in Europe starting at €117,900.

Highlights include the limited run ‘First Edition’ package which chimes in at a massive $18,300 (£13,750). This gives buyers an M Sports exhaust system, special trim, 20-inch wheels and a very loud high-end sound system among an array of upgrades.

Also fitted as standard is that uber powerful 592bhp twin-turbocharged V8 engine and four-wheel-drive, which is a very good thing. All of this fury under the bonnet will propel the new M5 to 62mph in a supercar matching 3.4 seconds making it the quickest M badged saloon ever built.
